Holly turns One, Halloween, the Zoo

Sweet Holly Merretta had her birthday a few weeks ago. Here's a few pics:

The Zoo!

We had a great (pretty spur-of-the-moment) time at the zoo with

Grandma Polly, Amber and her kids, Lara and her kids, and Sharece and her Jason

So fun!

We saw George the Rhinoceros, lots of monkeys, and some very cute baby animals too!

A few stories:

So cute. We saw a big giraffe giving a baby giraffe snuggles and kisses. The baby responded right back, with their own kisses. So Sweet!

The kids loved the penguins. ("The nice penguins" says Curtis) Here are my boys, walking like the penguins!

Karina and I were looking over at the baby leopards with their mom, when all of a sudden! One came running over and jumped right at Karina (and hit into the glass!) It made Karina jump but it was pretty cool! We called the other kids back to see the leopard up close.

And Karina really wants me to write about the oh-so-cute baby elephant Zuri. It was so fun watching baby Zuri play on the ball. Karina adds: "And I liked when she picked up the hay and put it in her mouth, then took it out, like "Yuck! I want milk instead!"

Aaron: still in school, working hard, blacksmithing in his freetime

Kenna: still a mom, homeschooling, researching a thousand different things

Karina: still a writer, loves ice skating and telling me what's on her mind

Trevor: still as full of energy as ever, loves to read, to run, and to make up songs

Enoch: still an outside guy, loves his chicken and art class

Curtis: still as witty as ever, loves playing with Dawn and reading 'Go Dog Go'

Holly: still getting into everything, thinks she can do everything the big kids can do (and ya know, she really can do a lot of it!)
